Cavotec has won an order worth to install ground-handling systems at the new concourse of Dubai International Airport’s Emirates Terminal 3.
The global engineering group will install 58 pre-conditioned air and 400Hz power Pop-Up pit systems, which are designed for use with Emirates fleet of A380s, which operate from the facility.
Delivery is due to start in Q3 this year with commissioning in 2012, the same year upgrade work to Terminal 3 is expected to be completed, giving it a capacity of 70mppa. The company would not reveal the total value of the contract.
