The World Duty Free Group has announced that it is to refurbish two shops at Colombo's Bandaranaike International Airport in Sri Lanka.
It claims that both new-look outlets will boast new, state-of-the-art design that will "improve the shopping experience and add value for passengers".
The shops, which will cover a total area of 490sqm, will feature specially-designed furniture following the latest visual merchandising trends.
In essence, the refurbishment project basically seeks to create more open spaces for an easier and more enjoyable purchasing experience.
WDFG's international director of operations, Pedro Castro, says: "By refurbishing these stores we are consolidating our presence in the Asian market as purveyors of quality and leading brands, offering a broad range of unique products.
"Our team differentiates itself precisely for its ongoing collaboration with suppliers of international renown in all product categories, including perfumes, cosmetics and beverages. Our goal is to offer high-quality products at competitive prices."
The WDFG has had a presence in Sri Lanka since 1996.
